If they work in the rear ports but not in the front port (anymore) then my first guess is a cabling problem. May be a cable got loose?

Continuing on this theme ...in Konqueror, when plugging in a digital camera with newer photos, it only shows the previous pictures irrespective of how many new ones have been taken on the same memory card. I had the same problem. I noticed that if I plug a device into one port SuSE remembers which port it is and won't recognise the device unless it is put into the same port. It is called 'a feature'.
