If they are recent enough, and you use "--enable-libsuffix=64" as configure argument (!) it should just work (like on i686 for instance). Ciao, Michael.

Thanks! So, typically this should work? ./configure --prefix=/opt/kde3 --enable-libsuffix=64 (I just tried building the latest boson without the --prefix, and it would have installed into /usr/local/ instead of /opt, but otherwise it did compile).
