usb 2.0 flash drives

I just bought a kingston 256mb usb flash drive, and when I plug it in, you can tell the computer's doing something, but no icon pops up (I'm in gnome 2.6). Is there something I can do to fix it or make an icon come up anyways? Also, can I make it keep synch with a folder on my hd so I it'll auto-update old files on the drive when I update them?

No icon is supposed to come up on the desktop. Just check the device folder - or /media

You can configure unison for this - but I doubt it will work automatically when you plug it in, Andreas -- Andreas Jaeger, aj@suse.de, http://www.suse.de/~aj SUSE Linux Products GmbH, Maxfeldstr. 5, 90409 Nürnberg, Germany GPG fingerprint = 93A3 365E CE47 B889 DF7F FED1 389A 563C C272 A126
