SuSE 10 and fstab
Hi, I am trying to update from 9.1 to 10 but I get the message "Root is mounted at /dev/hda2 but is listed /dev/hde2" My fstab reads: /dev/hde2 / reiserfs acl,user_xattr 1 1 /dev/hdf2 /data1 auto noauto, user 0 0 /dev/hde1 swap swap pri=42 0 0 /dev/hdf1 swap swap pri=42 0 0 devpts /dev/pts devpts mode=0620,gid=5 0 0 proc /proc proc defaults 0 0 usbfs /proc/bus/usb usbfs noauto 0 0 sysfs /sys sysfs noauto 0 0 /dev/cdrecorder /media/cdrecorder subfs fs=cdfss,ro,procuid,nosuid,nodev,exec,iocharset=utf8 0 0 /dev/dvdrecorder /media/dvdrecorder subfs fs=cdfss,ro,procuid,nosuid,nodev,exec,iocharset=utf8 0 0 /dev/fd0 /media/floppy subfs fs=floppyfss, procuid, nodev, nosuid, sync 0 0 This is not exactly as I had planned it, nor as 9.0 had it, but upgrade to 9.1 lead to the current setup. SuSE 10 refered my to a portal address but there there was, of course, the usual simple case example which did not relate to the error. Just edit the /hde2 to read /hda2 ? Any suggestions? Regards, Colin

Stefan G'Day Stefan, good to hear from you again. I will try now, and then give my new 10.0 a tryout. Hopefully I will still be on the air afterward. Regards, Colin
Hi Stefan, Thanks for your help... I am up and running again under 10.0 Had the usual headaches, like, without asking, 10. installed Grub over my LILO and then bitched about an error and messed me around for an hour. A few other problems, but in general I think I like it better than 9.1 Regards, Colin On Friday 14 October 2005 20:22, Colin Carter wrote:
