Yeah, looking at a path here.. it's included with xilinx. LD_LIBRARY_PATH probably failed to get set right or something. -- Mike Marion-Unix SysAdmin/Staff Engineer-http://www.qualcomm.com [Burns is a vampire, he's talking over an intercom] Burns: "Welcome, come in!... I am not sure whether this will do it, because you are still in the installation process. I set the variable to: LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/opt/xilinx/bin/lin/ This assumes that it got already installed there. There is quite some discussion about installing ise on linux and some are about suse too. I found that some recommendations did not work for me. I don't remember the steps for the installation, but under 9.0 I never had to set the LD_LIBRARY_PATH when running ise GUI. However, starting the tools from command line I had to set that variable. Another tip you will find is to set the: LD_ASSUME_KERNEL=2.4.7 I did not have to do that with suse 9.0, but after upgrading to 9.3 I have to set it now, if I want to start the GUI. That might be the first thing to do if your are still stuck with the installation. The library path should not matter yet. BTW, here is a link about somebody explaining the installation process: http://www.zurich.ibm.com/~ged/wisdom/xilinx.html Hope that helps. Guenter
