Sorry, I left out a step... Install windows, this will overwrite mbr. Then boot off of your SuSE install cd or dvd, and choose "Installation". Choose your language. *** Choose "Repair Installed System" *** Select "Expert Tools". select "Install New Boot Loader" This will let you re-install your original dual boot loader. Hi folks--

I'm currently dual-booting XP and 10.0. Linux resides on a SATA drive, but the MBR is on an IDE /hda. Well, Windows is corrupt, and I need to reinstall it. I think I'm going to go back to W2K instead of XP.

Now, I know that W2K will rewrite the MBR and make SuSE unbootable. Is there an easy way to repair this? For example, will the automatic repair option fix it?
