Check which version of the nvidia driver YOU did install for you? If it is not 6111 (but older, such as 6106 etc.) then I recommend to manually download and install the nvidia driver version 6111 (or later, if there is a new one.) The problem went away for me when I did that. However I have not tested it with a kernel version < 2.6.7. Now I'm using one of SuSE's kotd, which are 2.6.8 kernels. You need to have the kernel sources installed for the kernel you are using in order to manually install (compile) the nvidia driver. On the nvidia site there is a readme for the manual install of the driver on SuSE, I did follow it, it was easy, and it worked fine. HTH, Matt
