Hi, Looking on Suse's hardware support list, the 29320 & 39320 scsi controllers are not listed. The 29160 is but the 39160 is listed as problematic. Has anyone had experience with these? On adaptec's web site, there appears to be source code for non-HostRAID. The file is aic79xx-2.0.2-source.tar.gz (as well as aic79xx-1.1.0-source.tar.gz). I have a tyan K2885 motherboard which has SATA, but given support for SATA in an offical release is who knows when, I do not want to get caught again with any other non supported devices. Alan
I have the LSI22320-R from LSI logic. Its very simular to the adaptec 29160. They pretty much have the same features/specs. It works perfectly with Suse AMD64. I've tried it under Sles 8.2beta9 and 9.0 professional. I've been using it for about 2 months without a single problem. I have ten 10k drives attached and am running software raid 0 accross both channels. Being raid 0 it has no redudancy and is extremely fast. Mark Alan Gray wrote:

Both were tested successfully at some time, seems we forgot to update the site. Andreas -- Andreas Jaeger, aj@suse.de, http://www.suse.de/~aj SuSE Linux AG, Maxfeldstr. 5, 90409 Nürnberg, Germany GPG fingerprint = 93A3 365E CE47 B889 DF7F FED1 389A 563C C272 A126
