Hi Folks, We are still running an old version of SuSE SLES 8/x86_64. Recently, we found that Oracle update to 10g we're trying to install needed a more recent version. This system hasn't been updated for over a year, and I need to know if the update procedure is still the same: Bring up YOU Let it connect to the download site (http://sdb2.suse.de/download) Log in and let it do an automatic update It downloads and installs an update for Yast2 update utility, and the utility crashes. Now when I try to do the complete install, it fails at the log-in, everytime. It's as if the upgrade to Yast2 broke it. The log-in screen shows the same username and password as what had worked before, but I keep getting log-in failures. Is there a config file that Yast uses to do its things, like logging me into the download site? I need to undo what the upgrade process did, and try to do a manual update of everything else. Also, is there a way to manually download the update files, install them, without using the Yast2 GUI? thanks, eyc
