hello, does anyone know whether SuSE plans to release new RPMs for 64-bit postgreSQL now that the 8.0 version is coming out ? if not, is it safe to use the x86_64 binaries for fedora core 2, here: ftp://ftp3.de.postgresql.org/pub/Mirrors/ftp.postgresql.org/binary/v8.0.0rc1/rpms/fedora/fedora-core-2_x86_64/ or would it be best to build from source? if building from source, should one use the redhat, fedora 1, fedora 2, or fedora 3 source rpms ? those are the only choices on the postgresql mirrors. thanks, -mathieu

Postgres updates are available in general from: ftp.suse.com/pub/projects/postgresql/ But I don't know when and whether 8.0 versions will appear there, Andreas -- Andreas Jaeger, aj@suse.de, http://www.suse.de/~aj SUSE LINUX Products GmbH, Maxfeldstr. 5, 90409 Nürnberg, Germany GPG fingerprint = 93A3 365E CE47 B889 DF7F FED1 389A 563C C272 A126

Install apt4suse at gwdg.de, as the RPM's are available through there.
