I am using k3b v0.11.12-4 which is an update of the original version coming from SuSE 9.1. The kernel is the last one for SuSE 9.2 : 2.6.8-24.5. If someone can find the origin of this problem .....

Hi Pascal, funny error, indeed! Sorry, no solution, but a question: Is there a special reason for you to use k3b v0.11.12-4 and not the current version k3b-0.11.17? Before trying to fix k3b v0.11.12 it might make sense to upgrade first, and see if the error is not fixed in the meantime. Then I would run k3b-setup (not in the SuSE version) to let it set the permissions correctly. You seem to be using 9.2 now, there is a k3b RPM on packman for suse92-x86_64 HTH, Matt
