I should add that acroread 5.010-4.1 is working fine here on 9.2, no symptoms like you describe.
Could you try

There is a link to a pdf right below the schematic picture. When I open the link I get the problem. If I save the pdf as a file and open it, it works fine.
I tried deleting the prefs, no difference.
I tried it both ways, from the link and after saving it. Works perfectly here both ways. Since you are having the issue only from the browser, perhaps the problem is in the configuration of the acroread plugin ? One other possibility, I use Kongueror here and when I click on the link, it does _not_ use acroread to open the PDF, I'm not sure what it uses since the plugin references nppdf.so. To open with acroread, I have to right click and do a "open with". Works perfectly. So, the question might be are you really using acroread from your browser? I was using Acroread from Konqueror, for already downloaded pdf files, have not reinstalled 5.010-4.1 to try it yet. Janis

It is the adobe viewer embedded in konqueror. I've found that if I resize (even slightly) the problems go away; the whole document is accessable.
