Hi, I use my PC as digital VDR, and therefore turn it on with an alarm timer. I set the time in the BIOS, and then shut the PC down from Linux. This worked well with SuSE 9.2 (and Windows 2k), but with SuSE 9.3, the PC doesn't come back to live. The other resume-on things (e.g. resume on password at the keyboard) work well.
