anybody tried Suse 9.2 Live-Eval to Easyboot
I am trying to integrate Suse Linux 9.2 Live-Eval to Easyboot to build a multi-boot DVD including some other OSs, winXP, win2000 and etc. However, it failed after several trials. I can do Suse Linux 9.0 Live-Eval without any problems. Anyone has a successful experience with Suse Linux 9.2 Live-Eval. Thanks a lot -- Best Wishes Chen
Would anyone tell me how do I make a boot cd from an iso image? I have downloaded the iso images. copied them to cd with k3b. machine is set to boot from the cd, but does not. It does boot from the 9.2 professional media disk sent from SuSE. What trick am I missing here? Novell says not to copy the iso, but the contents inside the iso. This leaves me clueless. How do I extract the contents of the iso? melissa

From the menu, choose Tools->CD->Burn CD image. Find the iso image you wish to burn, and click the "Start" button on the right hand side. tom

Hi Melissa, I've done this in this way, burned the ISO image with k3b, and had no problem to boot from the CD. Regards Klaus Am Montag, 14. Februar 2005 19:38 schrieb melissa:

You don't. You burn the iso as a CD image. (Tools/CD/...). I don't know what Novell was thinking of. -- O__ ---- Peter Dalgaard Blegdamsvej 3 c/ /'_ --- Dept. of Biostatistics 2200 Cph. Burn the iso as image. It'll be a bootable CD as long as the iso you mentioned is bootable in the first place.

No, that plain proves that whoever said that was clueless. There seem to be quite a few people at Novell who have no idea about "iso" and "bootable". And that at a technology company...
