RE: [suse-amd64] 9.0 Install Problems
Ok, Just reinstalled everything. Started the kernel config program, set on SMP support, it then says make symblinks dep I assume this is from /usr/src/linux. I have done that without any errors. Other note I have on the web talk about running make bzImage make modules make modules_install then some cp commands. Is this right? I really don't want to have to reinstall again. With all the hassles, I installed over 20 times in the space of a week. Regards Alan

Run make cloneconfig to copy the configuration that is currently running. Then do a make oldconfig - and then change your configuration.
make symblinks dep
make dep is enough.
