RE: [suse-amd64] vmware
Oops - resend...sent that only to Ray. Mine also installed fine, but interestingly I can't get bridged networking to work (the guest gets no DHCP IP from my router). NAT works as far as giving the guest system an internal address. I can't get NetBIOS names to work (Windows workgroup) in such a way that any of the systems can see each other in network neighborhood. Is there a known issue with bridged networking in the 4.5.2 release of VM Workstation on x86_64? <mc> -----Original Message----- From: Ray Carlino [mailto:ray.carlino@comcast.net] Sent: Thursday, July 01, 2004 1:07 PM To: suse-amd64@suse.com Subject: Re: [suse-amd64] vmware I am running vmware version 4.52 on Suse 9.1 amd64 just fine installed without a hitch On Thursday 01 July 2004 11:17, Jan Hendrik Berlin wrote:

I'm using SuSE 9.1 for AMD64 and want to install VMware! There are problems with the kernel! Does anybody have an idea, if Vmware works with my Sytsem?

Did you setup hostonly networking? I have had problems with that before. My bridged networking is working fine but I am not getting a nat address from vmware I get it from my lan firewall. On Thursday 01 July 2004 11:13, Creamer, Mark wrote:
