Hey all, Found the problem I was having with FireFox. (It crashed on certain w3c verified sites -- Old-Style-Mozilla crash, just disappeared.) I had installed a some miscellaneous fonts from a large font package. Turns out the "Times" font was rewritten by a buggy one. I removed the appropriate "times" entries from fonts.dir/fonts.scale and removed the offending font. Then, I reinstalled the normal SuSe fonts and voila -- things work great.
