[SLE] Lots of powersaved messages on dual Opterons
I noticed the following messages in /var/log/messages: Nov 30 13:00:57 gofish [powersaved][6473]: resmgr: server response code 200 Nov 30 13:01:30 gofish last message repeated 13 times Nov 30 13:02:32 gofish last message repeated 31 times Nov 30 13:03:35 gofish last message repeated 31 times Nov 30 13:04:37 gofish last message repeated 37 times Nov 30 13:05:40 gofish last message repeated 31 times Nov 30 13:06:42 gofish last message repeated 31 times I would think this is not correct or a setting is wrong. No? I have searched the archives but most references were regarding laptops. I am running SLES 9 on dual Opteron 246 on a Tyan S2882 motherboard. Its a rackmount server that will run 24/7 so I do not believe there is a reason to have powersave on. Any ideas/suggestions are appreciated. Have you done a recent YOU run? There was an update to resmgr and if that one is not running properly now, this might be the problem. Yes, I had this morning - but had not rebooted. I rebooted and have only seen one of the above messages in an hour. So I guess that is much better. But should I get the message at all? Thank you again - Richard
