Is grub working under Beta-9? When I put a new custom-compiled kernel in /boot/grub/menu.lst, it did not change anything in the boot screen. Also, when I tried to access yast2-bootloader within yast2, the machine freezed. I am currently running k_smp-2.4.19-237. Regards, Hugh

Yes it is.

Most likely you edited the wrong menu.lst (common problem when there are multiple installations on the same hd) -Andi
