Plz ... I even wanna host that guide ... because it's very usefull when you need some support for a piece of hardware and it's not in the current SuSE pack. One feel kind of stupid to (9.1 story) to boot from an IDE to get the SATA going in "enchanced mode" (ASUS P4C800E deluxe). I'm going for the MSI K8N Neo2 board and some of that stuff has just come out resently for kernels later than the one in 9.2 (at least I'm guessing right now). 9.2 just arrived .... so busy exploring on a very old test box :D

Thank you to all who responded. I added 3w-9xxx and scsi_mod to /etc/sysconfig/kernel;

and ran mk_initrd. Since this box is being used to run postgres queries, I am waiting for the queries to complete before the reboot.
