Hi, I have a problem with sound on SUSE 10.0. After boot sounds work fine. But in a while, for no particular reason, sound becomes choppy, distortion has periodic pattern. Attempts to restart alsa ("rcalsasound restart") or/and loading-unloading sound (snd, emu10k1, etc) have no effect. The only way to get sound working normally is to reboot computer. I would appreciate any advise and/or link to "howto" fix this problem. I have Audigy 2 ZS sound card. The onboard Nvidia souncard is not configured (Tyan K8WE board).
