Both Gentoo and OpenBSD use X from Xorg and Gentoo uses framebuffer. I also booted into Gentoo and SuSE using kernels without framebuffer support, and experienced the same thing. Pausing with SuSE, fine in Gentoo. Not really sure about Java Desktop though. On Friday 08 July 2005 13:45, sean-lynch@sean-lynch.com wrote:
I believe the SuSE versions you describe X from Xorg and also use frame buffer displays
Do you know if the other distros you tried use either?
