What exactly is the problem you have?
My Problem is, that I need a player for playing avis and dvds ... mplayer is my favorit one. But if xine works will also be ok.
If I configure MPlayer it shows at the end that it will enable X11 video output. But later (after building) at starting mplayer the video picture is "broken" - the picture is total distorted.
The comand: ************************************************************************** tow@acer1501lmi:~> mplayer-32bit -vo help MPlayer 1.0pre4-3.3.3 (C) 2000-2004 MPlayer Team

I thought that this is maybe the problem ...
I hope someone can help me to solve the problem, because I have to watch some video lectures for university ...

PS: I hope I explaint the problem good enough, that someone can help me. If I don't please ask ... usually I answer very fast. Thanks.
Yes, port 6000 is disabled on 9.1. But this is independend of architecture - and you can still run X without this.
