I currently use an logitech optical usb mouse with a usb to PS2 converter, but have tried switching out with an old ball mouse. The mouse does not glitch when plugged in directly to the Linux system, nor when plugged via KVM to other systems. Have tried: rebooting after connecting the mouse to the KVM; switching the connectors of port A and B (To assure one portside is not messed up electronicly); checking the drivers for the mouse (they seem to be the right ones); and switching mice. Out of ideas, and no luck in any of my attempts. Could use, and always appreciate the help,
Add psmouse.proto=bare in the kernel command line in /boot/grub/menu.lst and reboot.
Thanks Andi. Looking up "psmouse.proto=bare" with Google gave me this link that may solve quite a few mouse pbms with KVMs (will try it tonight). http://www.redhat.com/archives/fedora-test-list/2004-February/msg00739.html Also double posting to suse-linux-e as it may help others ;) -- Frederic Soulier <frederic@wallaby.uklinux.net>
