I agree with the pro-Nvidia posts.
Specifically, here was a list that B. Stia posted a while back.
It is an EXCELLENT resource for you decision of which nVidia card to get(hehehe ATI NOT an option).

By all means, go with nVidia, but you might want to read this first... I had 3 generations of GeForce fry in exactly the same way within two years of purchase. (Actually the last one was a replacement under warranty for the second). No overclocking was involved with any of them. Three strikes and you're out nVidia! The last card to fry also shafted my monitor, because it started to send out spurious sync pulses while I was away from the PC. By the time I got back, the monitor had gone crazy and wouldn't sync to ANY card. I'm now with ATI, and found their proprietary driver easy to install (easier than nVidia as far as getting any Mesa libs out of sight). I also haven't had any lockups with the ATI drivers, which I quite often got with the nVidia drivers, especially when flipping between X and the console. Only time will tell if ATI is more reliable than nVidia. Just my 2 penn'orth, Phil ********************************************************************** This email and any files transmitted with it are confidential and intended solely for the use of the individual or entity to whom they are addressed.
