Hi all,
I am new to SuSE (9.2 DVD x86_64). I come from a Mandrake / PCLOS background. I am having what I suppose is a basic problem trying to install updates. I have set up the ftp site in YaST - Online Updates and it fetches the list of updates. Problem is I can't seem to install packages the are supposed to be in the x86_64 directory.
There's no need to setup a ftp site, just talk the default.
Bacically what I am saying is I can't seem to install new x86_64 software from ftp sites. I must be making a simple mistake but this is the first time I have used the SuSE package manger / YaST.
Could someone maybe let me know what I am doing wrong or point me to a FAQ for installing new packages?
