upgrade of KDE (3.2 -> 3.3) on SuSE 9.1 AMD64 : no more KDE event sound

Hello I decided to upgrade KDE 3.2 of SuSE 9.1. So I downloaded from SuSE FTP site the KDE 3.3 kit for SuSE 9.1 (is there a way to use YOU for upgrading more quickly ? I tried without success). Then with "rpm -Uvh", I installed all the required packages. After reboot, I discovered that there was no more KDE event sound like at startup or at session logout. In KDE control, I verified that all was right for sound server but I can't now to play a selected sound in the list (by example for startup). Otherwise, the sound is good : with Kaffeine or MPlayer, I can play a DVD : all is perfect. I don't understand what happens. Did I miss something ? Regards Pascal
