That is what I have done with the Proxim Gold a/b/g card. SuSE recognized it immediately. I have a little trouble understanding Broadcom's hype about 95% of all new laptops supporting their chip and having so little support in anything but windoze.
I find it confusing that linux support for their wireless chips is so bad at all. I mean, their onboard chipsets (at least the bcm57xx series) is well supported, and they have fairly frequent updates of their own linux driver available on their site. That they're doing so well on the wired side, and so bad on the wireless side is just odd. -- Mike Marion-Unix SysAdmin/Staff Engineer-http://www.qualcomm.com Apu: "Hey. Hey! Hey!
