Hi,
i have the latest related packages via Synaptic installed. I tried added
ide-disk, ide-core and via82cxxx
to /etc/sysconfig/kernel and got still the same message. The last messages
are:
Waiting for device /dev/hda5 to appear o.k
rootfs major = 3 minor = 5 devn = 773
/init: /bin/udev-volume-id: not found
mounting root /dev/hda5
usage mount -n (the options)
umount2 Device or Resource busy
Kernelpanic Attempt to kill init
in my original /etc/sysconfig/kernel was the module sata-via loaded. I
tried to boot with this module and without it, always the same result.
I installed allways the latest kernel of the day and this error appeared
the first time.
How can i make my system boot?
Thank you

You need the latest mkinitrd as well, there should have been a message that you ignored...
