Install Windows after Linux?

Hi folks-- I'm currently dual-booting XP and 10.0. Linux resides on a SATA drive, but the MBR is on an IDE /hda. Well, Windows is corrupt, and I need to reinstall it. I think I'm going to go back to W2K instead of XP. Now, I know that W2K will rewrite the MBR and make SuSE unbootable. Is there an easy way to repair this? For example, will the automatic repair option fix it? Thanks....
