32 bit programs will mostly run on a 64 bit machine, given that all necessary libraries are present in 32 bit variants, but kernel modules need to match the kernel, so for a 64bit kernel you need 64 bit modules and for a 32 bit kernel you'd need 32 bit modules.
If it won't work, might running a 32-bit OS change things?
Yes, it should. Just install the 32 bit version of SUSE Linux. Philipp
