Perhaps release notes was not the right term. But the file I'm referring to is from the untarred SuSE 2.6.8-24.11 kernel, Documentation/scsi/dpti.txt, in the TODO section right after the version changes/release notes: * TODO: * Add 64 bit Scatter Gather when compiled on 64 bit architectures This lead me to believe it could be compiled in 64 bit, but you would not have the "64 bit Scatter Gather", whatever that is.
