Download from a mirror of ftp.suse.com. The ISO is /pub/suse/x86_64/supplementary/9.0-PatchCD/9.0-PatchCD.iso
I got this patch and burned it. It boots, but the release notes say "The CD will ask for the 9.0/AMD64 DVD and continue with the installation with the updated kernel" I never see any message asking for the DVD. During the boot, it does say it has the SATA update (which is what I'm after), but when YAST gets to "loading hard disk drivers" it hangs. I tried putting in the DVD when it stops for language check, but it still dies. I tried "manual install", but this fails to see the SATA drive. The release notes don't match what the code does. Anyone can tell me what I should do to make it work correctly? I selected "Installation" from the boot menu, and like I said, manual install didn't work at all, at least for getting SATA up and running. Any help appreciated! Patience, persistence, truth, Dr. mike
