cpu affinity ?

[Installed gkrellm on a dual-core SuSE 10.0 system and noticed a background task bouncing back and forth between the CPUs. Aesthetically I would prefer for it to not bounce.] Is there a setting (or user tool) that will assign cpu affinity to a process ? mikus
