64-bit laptop

I'm going to order a new 64-bit laptop today. I have 2 questions. 1.) what is the best model (tried and true) to purchase to run SuSE 9.1 + on? 2.) I'm sure this has already been discussed. I remember someone stating the syntax used to search this mailing list with google, can someone tell me again? Thanks in advance B-)
