Seems to be a general Xpress 200M problem: Boot with "noapic" option, and the double speed problem goes away.
ATI, AMD, and SUSE are aware of the problem and have figured out what causes it.
It doesn't look
Actually we haven't. The latest known state is the "clear APIC pin" patch in http://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi? id=3927 but currently it's not usable because it breaks a lot of other systems (that could be worked around) and probably still not quite correct because it generates lots of APIC errors. like Andi's latest
patchset includes a fix but you may want to try it out in case I misread one of the Changelog entries.
Because there isn't a usable patch for this problem yet. -Andi -- Check the List- Unsubscribe header to unsubscribe For additional commands, email: suse- amd64-help@suse.com
