I cannot comment right now on whether they are really working on x86-64.
monodevelop is working on mono for x86_64 as it is written in C#. I can confirm that as I'm currently using it. But monodoc has been a problem as it needs a library with native binding to some gtk or gnome stuff. The appropriate dll throws an exception on loading and I couldn't get it to work, because it needs a 32 bit library where SuSE 9.2 had only a 64 bit library.
