If you have experienced installation problems with our 9.2 DVD, then download this CD and boot from it. It will ask you then for "CD1", and just insert the DVD at that point. During installation it will load packages from CD1 several times...
This PatchCD has two advantages:
* Installation with a new kernel. If you had problems installing with the DVD, please try it this way.
* All the updated packages are installed directly.
You can also download the CD and start "PatchCD" in YaST to only install the updated packages.
Note the packages and the kernel are from before Christmas, so we have some more updates out since then...
[/QUOTE] Basically use this CD if you can not install off the DVD as some have not been able to. I was not able to as well but if you disable USB and change a few memory settings in the BIOS you can then install. Try the DVD. If it does not work then get the CD. Andreas or someone, please help me with this issue. I have been on travel and missed this thread.
Have downloaded the image. Have an AMD-64 machine ready for install when I return home this weekend. What am I supposed to do with this? I also have an AMD-64 machine working and updated. Does something need to be done here, or has YOU taken care of the issue.
Sorry to be late on this. Any assistance would be gratefully received.

Will this solve installation issues with the FTP DVD Image, or only the retail package?
Yes, it will, they have the same issues,
