Hello list,
A couple of questions:
1) Has a x86-64 java release for x86-64 Linux been released yet? If not, does anyone know when it might be released ?
Not released yet - but Blackdown Java should be released soon. You can use 32-bit Java.
2) Has anyone tried running Oracle 9.0.2.3 (Developer's release for AMD64) on the Suse 8.2 beta (AMD64) ? Any known problems ?
Oracle has developed on SLES8 and I would advise to use that version. But 8.2 beta should work also (untested).
If possible, I'd like to test the 64 bits versions of these two applications, if not I'll have stick to the respective 32-bits for testing and developing purposes.
I do not yet have access to an Opteron server, so I have not had the chance to check question 2 out myself.
