Show us your desktop - Information for ambassadors
Dear Ambassadors around the world! ==If you followed the "Show us your desktop"-thread on opensuse-marketing, you can skip this mail, if not, please read it.== We want to share our desktops, your desktops and the desktops of our users on flickr and facebook, to make some kindd of "desktop contest" with the shared material. For this event, we need you! You, as ambassadors of our project, are pleased to spread the message around the world and help users with sharing their desktop. I will continue blogging about it, and give you the latest information about the whole idea. *What can we ambassadors do?* Well, we can spread the message. The most of you have an own blog, so you blog about it. I will create an article for news.o.o and publish it as soon as possible. *How can we help?* The best way is, to assist the users with uploading and sharing the material. If you can, write a tutorial about taking a snapshot of your desktop and load up it to flickr and add it to the opensuse-flickr-group as well. *Can I contribute with my desktop?* Yes, of course! Just take a snapshot, load it up on flickr and link it to the opensuse-flickr-group. *Are their any ways to vote about the best?* Yes, we want to upload the photos on facebook and count the "likes". I suggest you to tell interested people about this, and let them vote. As we planed it today, it will be an open vote for everyone who has a facebook account. (Maybe we will use some other tools, if neccessary.) *Are their any other questions?* If you, just mail me, or answer the the "Show us your desktop!-thread" on opensuse-marketing! *REMEMBER* This thread is just an information about the whole thing. Please don´t answer to this, because it would be very confusing, when we have to read two different threads for one thing. Please answer to this thread, if neccessary: http://lists.opensuse.org/opensuse-marketing/2011-03/msg00277.html kind regards Kim (who´s sitting in the garden with his notebook and enjoys the great weather :) ) -- Kim Leyendecker (kimleyendecker@hotmail.de) openSUSE Ambassador / openSUSE Wiki Team DE http://www.opensuse.org Have you tried SUSE Studio?
