Hello Fellow Ambassadors In the past days we had openSUSE 11.4 out. It is actually a really great distribution and it is our duty as openSUSE ambassadors to spread that to the world. So let's all start make events like presentations and release parties in order to have fun with openSUSE and let other people learn about openSUSE and also have fun with it to. If you need any help there are people here that are willing to give you all the help you can get. If you are planning an event be sure to mention it in: http://en.opensuse.org/openSUSE:Ambassadors_events#2011 If you are planning a Release Party for openSUSE 11.4 let us know at: http://en.opensuse.org/openSUSE:Launch_parties_11.4 Get promo material for your events from promodvds@opensuse.org (but make sure you send an e-mail at least 2-3 weeks before the planning event so that you surely get them on time) In case you are not sure on how to organize an event go to: http://en.opensuse.org/openSUSE:Events for more information and, in case I haven't mentioned :-) , feel free to ask here. Hi, We're organizing an event for July in the University Fernando Pessoa (Porto, Portugal). We're going to give a couple of talks and so far it should be me and Carlos Gonçalves for two of them. Aditionally we were planning to invite Luís Medinas (a very deeply commited openSUSE member from the GNOME team). Though me and Carlos require no 'help' with travelling costs, Luis is around 400Km away from the event. Would it be possible to get sponsorship for a train ticket? NOTE: I haven't talked to Luis, I'm just asking in advance.

Also regarding the same event, could we have a banner, DVD media and some stickers for the event?

I find that a great idea, you can ask Jos about it.

Mail to AJ about all that. For banners though if they don't send you, I took the one that we had in Scale and I have two copies of it and if you like, tell me to send you a photo of it and if you like it(since you are the first who asked ;-) ) , I am willing to send you one since we(the Greek ambassadors) already planned to print some more banners so in our events here in Greece I believe we are covered. Let me know about it,ok?
