Some action that we got are listed bellow:
* CarlosRibeiro help to define/purpose a better plan for Ambassadors reports * Every ambassador should aggregate her/his blog on planet.opensuse.org
For those who couldn't join the meeting, I'd like to add some relevant information. This topic is related to the item below:
* Install fest works great but needs more attention * Lack of reports after Ambassadors attend events
I know (and believe ;-)) all the Ambassadors have been trying to attend/organize local events, installfest and Launch Parties to promote openSUSE. However, we haven't seen so many announcements, call for participation and reports for those events so far. Whether the event is important or trivial, I want to you to write a blog post about that and share your thoughts, impressions and problems with other community mates. And if you haven't added your blog feed to planet.opensuse.org yet, follow the instructions to do so: http://en.opensuse.org/openSUSE:Planet Once we, openSUSE Weekly News Team, find a report from an Ambassador on planet, we will introduce the entry in our Weekly News. If you write your blog post not in English but in your native language, it will be OK, too. In that case, please drop a note with short summary in English by posting to this -ambassadors or -marketing list.
* CarlosRibeiro sends a mail to the Ambassadors ML, asking about what is missing on Welcome page
Well, I have some thoughts on this topic. Should I continue the topic in this thread, or should I wait for another post by Carlos ?
* Next meeting - August, 17 sounds good for most part of the Ambassadors Team ?
I want to ask you who won't be able to, or, don't want to join the meeting on that day and time frame; which will be the solution for you ? 1) Another meeting on another day, another time frame (please specify your convenient day and time) 2) Continue the discussion on mailing list if the topic is important, instead of coming to a decision on IRC meeting 3) Use another platform for collaboration and discussion such as forums, Google Wave, etc. (please specify) 4) Other (please specify) Note, these solutions are aimed to increase places and opportunities for Ambassadors who want to state their opinions but unfortunately won't be able to join the meeting, not for those who want to continue to be a ROM (Read Only Member).
