Hi Nathan I am Kostas. Along with Manu and Carlos we are the Ambassador welcome team. I believe that you should send us an e-mail there and follow the procedure like all other ambassadors around the world did so that we complete the whole procedure right. You might find that a bit bureaucratic but it is not when it becomes correctly. Thank you for wanting to become an openSUSE ambassador. Hope to hear from you soon. Saludos Nathan,
Saludos

* What have you done already for openSUSE? R: I am new to the community, i want to work in Spanish translation and development, I have personally promoted basic course of events gnu / linux for new students at my university, presenting alternative openSUSE highlighting its stability and me in my personal experience with the system, from 11.0 to the current version.
* What are your plans for promoting openSUSE? Please tell us what you want to do the next 6 months. R: I am the vice-president of engineering careers in computer science, in the course of the year we do many activities and promote free software alternatives, the closest is in May ("barcamp 5.0"), there'll be giving several conferences about openSUSE between topics: -Basic Concepts Software-compatibility package-use terminal-commands -installation -about the community programming-tools OpenSUSE-Games , and other more
Also, among the plans evagelizard xD ... I have many contacts in college and am preparing a "openSUSE tour" in different schools, introducing the system and distributing installations DVDs, such plans would be short term.
* Are you ready to start promoting openSUSE? R: Yes, before sending the request of Ambassador evaluates me to see how capable I am. Think I'm ready for this great mission.
* What do you think is the best kept secret of openSUSE? R: I think the secret is in the form of development, the seriousness and commitment of both Novell and the community. openSUSE is not as informal, when people talk about openSUSE are talking to one of the best distributions gnu \ linux and I think that is the secret which was made by the developers and the community.
* Why do you love to do this? R: Because I think a system so powerful can not be unknown to the people, in these countries (Central America) people are tired of fighting malware filled systems, getting licenses pirates, panicking for unexpected errors. I think it is necessary to promote a viable alternative for everyone.
* How did you start with with Linux/openSUSE? What is your level of experience? R: My intention was to learn more and wanted to start in the world of GNU / Linux and after trying several distributions and investigate, I found to try openSUSE and after a while, I knew I had the operating system needed.
I consider my experience level and intermediate-advanced, is that even I have too many things to learn. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-ambassadors+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-ambassadors+help@opensuse.org
