Well, GNOME is a great alternative to KDE, and you can say, that´s the default desktop of SUSE Linux Enterprise Desktop. So, the users know how SUSE/Novell value GNOME.
For openSUSE, GNOME is an important part of the freedom of desktop choice in that way, that you can choose from many desktops or WMs to create your personal system feeling.
Tell them, that GNOME is supported equal as KDE by the openSUSE community. How Novell handle it with desktop support, I can´t say, but openSUSE values both desktops equal. I think this is an important point if the listeners want to understand the whole thing.
thanks
Kim this is great gives me a lot to be getting on with :) I was wondering what the default desktop was with SLED now i know - I was thinking about Gnome because of Evolution seems to more popular as an alternative to MS Office Outlook rather than Kontact. -- Kind Regards Stuart Tanner Bolton Linux 24 Vincent Street Bolton BL1 4SA Tel: +44(0)1204 410474 Mob: +44(0)7868 028028 www.bolin.org.uk Distributing openSUSE in the UK Registered Linux User: 529825 -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-ambassadors+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-ambassadors+help@opensuse.org
