in France, the best public we have are the non usual groups, boreline ones (I don't really know how to say this in english - les groupes non conventionels), active on consumer defense, ecology, etc, that like to be special and so are pretty near of the free software phylosophy.

les groups non conventionel to me translates as non conventional groups but i am still unsure as to the context in which your using it and as such suspect there is a different way to express it which buy would make more sense. I attend computer trade shows, where local computer traders sell their stock in sports halls. I attend different shows from different companies each week, I have a number of posters I have been handing out, I have also been using the comunity posters as well as those I have obtained from the net generally promoting linux, I have two computers both online demonstrating the running installation. Most people stick with "I use windows and I am not bothered" or "I am an ubuntu user so already use linux" there are usually genuinly interested people but usually there is some lack of software namely equivelent to Adobe Suite that for them is a show stopper. I remember a topic in multimedia regarding Recording Video and Cinelerra for them this is just something they require, for this reason they continue with windows. There are clear areas where linux is loosing the battle and these need to be addressed. -- Kind Regards Stuart Tanner Bolton Linux 24 Vincent Street Bolton BL1 4SA Tel: +44(0)1204 410474 Mob: +44(0)7868 028028 www.bolin.org.uk Distributing openSUSE in the UK Registered Linux User: 529825 -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-ambassadors+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-ambassadors+help@opensuse.org
