Hi people Please all give a warm welcome to Firas Yahia, our new ambassador from Tunisia. Below you can learn more about him and his relationship with openSUSE as he told us in his own words. * What have you done already for openSUSE? At the moment not a big things for openSUSE, I consider myself as a user or a big fan of this OS ( I use it daily, I have installed and developped my project of university under it ... ). * What are your plans for promoting openSUSE? Please tell us what you want to do the next 6 months. In the begining I'm planing to create a strong community . I would like to promote openSUSE not as an OS but also as a necessity for everyone. In the next 6 months, i will start the tunisian community, encourage people to join, doing small install parties, then participating on SFD 2011 (Software Freedom Day) to promote openSUSE. Then i'm planing for a big event in Tunisia on 11/11/11 * Are you ready to start promoting openSUSE? YES, I have already started by telling friends about the new community and activities. * What do you think is the best kept secret of openSUSE? The support of Novell, a Strong and old distribution AND of course OPEN SOURCE :) . * Why do you love to do this? I love to do this because i want to encourage people to use open source and free software and specially Linux openSUSE * How did you start with with Linux/openSUSE? What is your level of experience? I use Linux since 2000, i have started with Red Hat then Mandrake. I passed a couple of year using Ubuntu( as principal system and sometimes i try fedora or debian or other derivation) until i tried openSUSE when i was charged to do a workshop with Metasploit (3 years ago). And i will sit the next summer for the LPIC-1 exams. -- http://opensuse.gr http://amb.opensuse.gr http://own.opensuse.gr http://warlordfff.tk me I am not me ------- Time travel is possible, you just need to know the right aliens -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-ambassadors+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-ambassadors+help@opensuse.org
