Hey Ambassadors please all give a warm welcome to our new ambassador from France, Nicolas CARLIER Below you can learn more about his relationship with openSUSE as he told us in his own words.
* What have you done already for openSUSE?
For openSUSE, I regularly participated in the French translation of the more important as reaching a new version or tutorial.
As said above, in 2004, when there was no community SUSE, I took the initiative to open a French-speaking community Alionet.org. Since then, Alionet association is to promote openSUSE and open source independently.
Sometimes I also do the bug report, because programming languages are not in my competence.
* What are your plans for promoting openSUSE? Please tell us what you want to do the next 6 months.
My promotion projects are very simple: translation of documents into French, organization of events in parallel range of officials, then continue the events which I already involved, such as Saturday, October 1st, I will be on the forum Roubaix associations presented to the free Software and openSUSE.
* Are you ready to start promoting openSUSE?
^ ^ Funny question! I have already started for many years, I'm ready!
* What do you think is the best kept secret of openSUSE?
I like mainly the contact people, their share my knowledge, my advice, learn new things.
* Why do you love to do this?
It's really by chance in a mall, I was only 14, I bought a box containing the distribution RedHad start with a book. I was not very convinced! But in 2000, a friend made me try SUSE Linux Standard, had a revelation! Since then, my main SUSE distribution.

Welcome
Nicolas CARLIER
Bienvenue Nicolas! J´espere que tu va avoir de bon heures sur le projet et si toi il faut* quelque chose... Well, okay I will continue in English since my French is just a mess (I could find "harder" expressions but "a mess" fits it well, I think.) So: Like Chuck said: If you need help or something other, /just/ ask! So, have fun ;-) --kdl * I don´t know if this is the right way, I only remember that there isn´t any other kind of faut (maybe besoin de?). So to all native-French speakers here: If you ever need an example how *not* to write in your language: Here you go ;-) -- -o) Kim Leyendecker, openSUSE Community Member /\\ GPG Key: 664265369547B825 | leyendecker@opensuse.org _\_v http://www.opensuse.org - Linux for open minds -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-ambassadors+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-ambassadors+owner@opensuse.org
