Rafal,
Yes, I mean radeon (xf86-video-ati) instead of radeonhd (xf86-video-radeonhd). However you have to use git version.
The real promise for future is KMS, where kernel is responsible for setting modes (resolution, refreshing rate). However it's harder to test because you have to checkout and compile whole kernel from git.
I'm a bit confused now - should I compile the radeon driver from git, or should I compile the whole kernel from git latest?
Both should work, so you can choose (between radeon==xf86-video-ati and KMS). In both cases you have to use code from git. radeon is much easier and faster to checkout & compile. -- Rafał -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: radeonhd+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: radeonhd+help@opensuse.org
