It it just works without Option HPD? Ok, then connector table parsing is
correct.

There is one remaining problem though without Option "HPD" "off".
The VT switch is broken. The screen enters power-save mode, when trying
to switch to text terminal. And it wakes up again when I switch to X.
That's why I still want to keep this option set.

Completely different issue, not related to HPD. Only use Option HPD if
you monitor isn't detected otherwise.
