Sorry, I didn't know that. Ok, so I renamed the fglrx module and
verified that it couldn't be loaded by trying it with modprobe. Then
I rebooted, using radeonhd. This time, the screen did flicker twice
for a second, and I saw my desktop, but then it immediately went to
just a black screen again. I was able to switch to and use one of the
virtual consoles (alt-F6) this time however.
