Sorry, I didn't know that. Ok, so I renamed the fglrx module and verified that it couldn't be loaded by trying it with modprobe. Then I rebooted, using radeonhd. This time, the screen did flicker twice for a second, and I saw my desktop, but then it immediately went to just a black screen again. I was able to switch to and use one of the virtual consoles (alt-F6) this time however.
I've attached the log.
Thanks, James Slagle
Does the monitor go into standby? Or did it remain active and just show a black screen. Does the monitors OSD report a resolution and some frequencies? Luc Verhaegen.
